I appreciate all the feedback I'm getting over this baby blog of mine. It's amazing how people genuinely want you to succeed. One of the feedbacks is that most of the stories are sad, some people want to read something positive too , happy endings always feel so good in must agree. However, the stories I share are shared privately with me by the party/parties involved. Every story you read here actually happened. They are all true. I get them straight from the horse's mouth. The one you are about to read is still giving me goose bumps. Life is indeed stranger than fiction. Ps: I changed the names
My best friend Queen was from a very wealthy family. The family owned a very successful business. They had a remarkable staff strength in the different branches of the company. Queen met and fell in love with Justin, a staff in one of the company warehouses, the family did not approve of the relationship and insisted that she ended the relationship. My friend was completely head over hills in love with Justin and threatened to kill herself if they didn't let her marry the man she loved. After all the emotional roller-coaster, Queen's parents let the lovebirds have their way. They got married and held a private reception for family and a few friends. It was a beautiful wedding. Queen's family accepted Justin as their own and accorded him due respect. To ensure that the young couple were comfortable, Queen's family got them a brand new house, two brand new vehicles and a part of the family business was handed over to them. The family went all the way out at ensuring that Queen and Justin had a soft landing in marriage. My friend was happy, she was an extremely good wife and even took up a job in humility to be able to contribute to the upkeep of the family while Justin ran the family business fully. You would think that Justin would return Queen's sacrifice of love. No way, instead, he hated her for the disapproval her family showed when they first got together. He reminded her everyday that her family never wanted him because he was poor.
He vowed to make money and be rich by any means just so he could compete with Queen's family. He did everything bad, he womanised, drank a lot and worst of all beat the living daylight out of her. My friend kept all these to herself because she knew her family was right afterall and she should have listened to them. She suffered in silence and I suffered with her as she told me everything but forbade me to tell no one. On my own, I tried to speak to Justin about the way he treated my friend a couple of times but he made passes at me on every such occasion and made light of the whole situation. I distanced myself from their home the day he almost raped me. He became so ruthless and mean to anybody that had anything to do with Queen or her family.
While she went through all these humiliation from Justin, Queen also battled infertility.
True to his words, Justin got very successful, he grew the business and became Queen's family's biggest competition. He grew from bad to worse, he taunted her, called her barren, he brought free women into their home and boasted that he had enough money to challenge her useless family that never liked him. Queen eventually took in, this good news did not bring Justin to order, he carried on with his evil lifestyle and even beat her while she was pregnant. She had a multiple birth, I had never seen such an unhappy nursing mother.
Then her mother came to help her take care of her babies and noticed that her daughter was indeed living a lie. She had painted a perfect picture to the family meanwhile, she was miserable. While they loved Justin for supposedly making their daughter happy, he detested them for rejecting him at first. She tried to make her daughter leave the marriage but it was too late, Queen was both emotionally and mentally broken. She took ill shortly after and was in and out of the hospital.
When I visited her in the hospital, she looked at me and said, "Justin has killed me, I know it. You all should look after my babies, but I promise you one thing that I am going to take him with me" I simply told her that she would live long to see her children's children.
Nine months after the birth of her babies, Queen passed away mysteriously, the doctors could never detect the cause of her sickness.
Justin prevented Queen's family from attending the funeral.
Six months after Queen's demise, Justin sent the babies to his family in the village and moved on with his life. He found love in another woman and made it so public. He said to anyone who cared to listen that he had found true love. (Ode). Of all the days in the calendar, he chose the date of his late wife's passing for his wedding to hold. Exactly on the first memorial anniversary of his late wife's passing.
It was a big wedding with a lot of Justin's business associates. Everything was going on fine till the newest couple danced into the hall for the reception. As soon as they settled down to enjoy the rest of the day, Justin started to act strangely, he was shouting the late wife's name and was begging her to stop flogging him. He was screaming and crying at the same time, pleading with her to spare his life. Most people escaped to places devoid of spirits (lol) and the strong hearted ones stayed back to hold Justin down because he was hysterical.
He screamed until he slumped and died. (Queen please high 5, you too much) When I heard this, I had fresh respect for my friend.
Her family told me that random people had told Justin that Queen had appeared to them in their dreams and asked them to tell him to change his ways and apologise to her family for the way he disrespected them and treated her. But as expected, he ignored them and claimed that they wanted to stain his name.
My besto may have been too weak or too peaceful to fight when she was alive but she gave a good fight in death. She won this battle if you ask me.
She was an extremely good person and deserved more than she got.
It's a happy ending for me.

ReplyDeleteWow. What a story.
ReplyDeleteI really hope people are reading & learning.
May God help us
It was wrong for her to have hinged her existence on a Man.she don't need to die to fight. Fight while a life. However, she wasn't the one that killed Justin. His way of life plunged him into mess. When u break the hedge the serpent will bite.
ReplyDeleteTake heart my dear.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's still sad all the way, as Justin'so death did not bring back the lady.
I guess she didn't want to admit to her family that "they told her so" and rather suffered in silence.
I sincerely hope people read these stories & learn the lessons thereof.
Let's speak up early enough,as it's never the will of God for us to die in an unhappy marriage.
May her soul rest in the peace of God, Amen
Serves Justin so right. High five Queenie 🙋
ReplyDelete👌🏼 This right here is what a good comment looks like. We need to know Jesus and associate with people who also do.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in ghosts. So let's start there. Maybe it was his guilt and conscience that flogged him. And pushed him to his death.
ReplyDeleteHowever, say I am wrong and ghosts exit and this lady appeared from beyond to flog her ex: she's not happy wherever she is. Her parents and her children do not need the consolation of a ghost flogging/killing the man responsible for their daughter's/mother' death.
No one needs to prove anything to anyone by staying in a bad marriage , dying in it and spending eternity when she should have been resting, flogging a grown man.
What a waste. We should know when a marriage isn't working anymore and when to let go. Prayer is the key to wisdom.
ReplyDeleteA chronic case of inferiority complex on the part of Justin.
ReplyDeleteFor starters, I also don't believe in ghosts...but I'd skip that part and express my thought on the main issue- a broken marriage. My opinion- no marriage is worth dying for. When something threatens your existence, what do you do? You cut it!
ReplyDeleteYou can live a happy and successful life without marriage.
Wow! Stranger things have happened though. That said, the real victims here are their children; once again, two adults simply failed at "adulting" and have left their children to pick up the pieces. There are no victors here as far as I'm concerned
ReplyDeleteWow Amaks good on ya !
ReplyDeleteQuite sad but not worth sacrificing her life.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, but the fact remains that a lot of people happen to be in marriages like this. It is found both in wives n husbands. Marriage has turned out to be a place of bondage for so many people. The fact is that marriage is of God. And when pple who don't know nor fear God gets into it, error is usually the result. May God reveal himself to us, so that we can carry-on in our relations with the fear of God.
ReplyDeleteWow. Wonders shall never cease.i hope the kids will be raised with enough love and care since they are now orphans .

ReplyDeleteKarma is a b**@$*ch good job Amy!
ReplyDeleteIts still sad that your bestie died .if only women would agree with me that no marriage deserves to endure physical violence .no woman should endure beating for any reason .why should a woman die in painful endurance?marriage can't take us to heaven!I don't see much reason why I should wait to be killed in marriage .biko ,I need to stay alive and see my children grow .she should have worked out of that marriage and I believe she would have still be alive
ReplyDeleteSad one but sweet revenge
ReplyDeleteHaaaaa! Some men shaaaaa. May God provide and protect those kids.
