Someone contacted me over the side chic story. This time, a guy. Here's his story;
I am happily married to the most wonderful woman. Extremely good wife and excellent mother to our children. Along the line, I met a girl who needed help. I had good intentions towards her and started to provide the much needed support and security. I brought my wife into the picture just so it would remain pure. Not like wifey and the lady became friends. She was aware that I was helping a lady in need. Somehow, what seemed like an innocent relationship turned to a full blown love affair. And it went on for years. Nothing changed at home, in fact the love between wifey and I grew stronger. She was a rock and her good behaviour improved by the day.
On the other hand, side chic was at her best and I enjoyed the best of both worlds. On my own I decided it would only be right to make side chic second wife. I spoke to her about it and she accepted. Then it was time to tell wifey, her reaction shocked me. She said, "I let you have your way all this time, I'm not a fool, of course I knew the handshake had extended to the elbow but kept cool just for peace to reign while I prayed for us". "I kept quiet then but now I will speak".You mean you knew all these while and kept quiet and did not put otapiapia in my food? Phew!
Wifey got everyone involved. My mother, her mother, the church, the village, everyone and everything but I was adamant. My reason being that it wouldn't be fair to waste a lady's time then leave her when she'd probably find it hard to get another man. She too deserved a permanent home and she's no trouble maker. I wasn't going to chicken out. My mind was made up. Then one day, in the middle of the night, my wife came to me in sobriety and humility to say, "lover boy ó kwa I si na I ga-emeki sure na m di happy all my life?" (Loverboy but you said that you would make sure I was happy all my life), I thought you'd just allow us to be happy". Her words pierced through my soul and I wept. I went back to side chic and told her wifey had the final say. I secretly prayed that she would accept wife's decision because truly I couldn't bear her disappointment and would go on anyway if she insisted. She accepted the decision in good faith(thank God).
I begged her to let me settle her. She finally accepted a few months ago. My beautiful wifey still stands solidly by me and never brings up the past. Side chic has moved on. I miss her, she was a very good lady. But I'm exremely happy with wifey and committed to making sure she's as happy as she makes me. My case is rare I must say, I had the gift of two beautiful women at some point in my life and I'll never forget
Lucky u I must say .he should be thankful he has an angel as a wife cos he would have just destroyed his life and his home by himself.i wonder when men will hear word
ReplyDeleteFirstly, there's nothing like the best of two world's (remember God made them man and woman 1 pair not a set of 3). ..you should be eternally greatfull to God satan almost steal your joy permanently. You're blessed with such a wonderfuly woman. PLEASE remain faithful to her. I suspected she knew all along. As for me I would never let any woman under any guise come close to my husband. No way I won't allow it. I am not the jealous type but if God is watching over you you have a duty to also watch out for yourself.
ReplyDeleteThere was no sacrifice here and no luck; not even a smidgen of love was in the mix. It all had to do with what each person could get for themselves. The man could pay for their time and what he thinks is their love, and got his needs for sex and other physical ministrations met. The wife retained her highly value social status as wife of a well heeled man while the lover had her freedom while someone else covered took care of her overheads.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad arrangement, he should not have had to give up his lover by asking to marry her she did not want to marry in the frst instance
Some women are simply wonderful. Kudos to these two ladies, I must say.
