Five Star General

This story is quite interesting. Kay got into an argument with his friend Pote over Pote’s reason for still being single at the age of thirty eight. Pote says that he cannot trust any woman; to him all women are liars. The last girl he tried to get serious with lied to him about how many guys she had been with, she mentioned only four names and then he discovered by himself that she had been with two other guys but failed to disclose them (this guy has issues). He called off their engagement immediately, my take is that if the girl accepted to mention names at all, she should have mentioned every single name, why start what you cannot finish. Now it is a virgin or no wife for Pote. Kay on the other hand says that he does not care if the wife dated the whole world before he met her; he is not obsessed with her past.

Kay goes on to say that he met his wife through his friend Ary who was dating her; he always talked about his latest catch Beebee. According to Ary, Beebee his temporary girlfriend was a total package, beautiful, cooks very well, really smart, very clean, and organised and most importantly a five star general in the bedroom. He said he would have married her but knew that he would have trust issues with her. On a certain day, Kay and his friends were chilling in a bar after work when Beebee came to meet up with Ary and Kay saw her for the first time. She was exactly like Ary had said but more beautiful than Kay had imagined. Ary gave Beebee his house key and told her he would be home soon; he did not want her to stay much longer with him and his pals.

Kay told Ary in the presence of their friends that he would marry Beebee whenever Ary was done with her and they all laughed. Exactly eight and a half months later, during one of their hang outs, Ary jokingly told Kay that he was longer with Beebee, he went on to give Kay her number.

Kay said that exactly a year and a half later, he shocked all his friends when he walked down the aisle with Beebee. Ary did not attend their wedding, he was quite disappointed and said as much to Kay, he had thought that it was all a joke (he said Kay was just meant to sleep with her and then leave) and that marrying Beebee was an insult to him. (Yeah right)

Back to Kay and Pote, Kay tried to convince Pote that marriage should not be conditional; you marry whichever woman God ordains for you, whether she is a sinner or a saint. The important thing is to pray and hear from God. (When it comes to marriage talk, men get spiritual. Lol)

Well, Kay is in his fourth year of marriage with Beebee and he says he has no regrets whatsoever. Pote’s wedding is coming up sometime in the year and Kay has pleaded with him to let go of the past, Pote says there is no need to check any past, his bride to be has never had her soil tilled. (How about you Pote, has your hoe ever tilled any soil?).

I just want to add that a Godly marriage does not have to be with a “saint”, God’s blessings are on everyone in equal proportions, and He rejoices more when one sinner repents. A wayward girl may get married and decide she has had enough of a life with men and stay focused on building a perfect home with her husband and children. A virgin may taste it and feel that she missed out on a lot and thereby go on a rampage with men. Anything can happen really.

By the way, I do not think that there are up to ten Kays in the world. Kay must surely have some foreign blood in him. (DNA please!)
