From a confused girl

A friend asked me to share this story, I am not sure if it is a true story but it sure is interesting enough to share to know what people think about the situation. I will make a few corrections to minimize the “gbagaun” Your opinion is important please, if you find it difficult to comment using the comment box, please send to me via amakanwosisi@yahoo.com or whatsapp. I will post your comments myself and indicate who it is from. Even if you have read the story before now, please let us know your opinion, you never know who needs it.

I was dating a guy who promised to marry me, he travelled abroad for greener pastures, after some time, there was no more communication, days passed, years passed and there were no signs of his return. I was twenty two years old then, it has been six years and I have decided to move on as I am not getting any younger. Recently I met a guy and we became really close, we are set for marriage this Easter, and I am happy I met him. My new guy is not rich but he is hard-working.

Last week I got a ridiculous bank credit alert on my phone, an unbelievable amount of money, I scrolled up and down the SMS to make sure it was for me and to my surprise; it was deposited by Stanley my ex-boy friend who has not communicated with me in six years. The amount was N320m.

Did I just call him my ex? I am not sure it is right to call him ex since we didn't break up in the first place; we just separated due to the distance between us. While I was still pondering over the recent event, my mum called me from the village to say that Stanley visited our home and that she had given him my cell phone number and address. Gosh!!! Why did my mum do that? Should I be upset or even be happy that she did? Many things are going on in my head right now.

Stanley called me yesterday to say that he's coming to my place next weekend, he said a lot of things to me on the phone that left me speechless, he said I should remember the promise we made to each other which was the major reason he travelled abroad. Stanley said that he's finally back to fulfill the promise he made to me. He had transferred the money to my account to enable me start our wedding preparations. He also asked me to find a home in a good location where we would live after our wedding. Stanley cannot wait to take me to the altar.

Now, I'm confused, what do I do with Chidi who is eagerly working towards our wedding this Easter?

I need your advice, please what do I do?

1. Should I follow Stanley and abandon Chidi?

2. Should I say no to Stanley, what about the money in my account, what should I do with it?

3. If I go for Stanley, will it be because of the money or because of the love we shared?

4. Girls what do you think about this situation and if you were in my shoes, what would you do?

5. Guys what will you advise me to do?

I will reserve my comment for now.

Note: This story did not originate from me and I do not know the parties. I used the names in the story as received.

  3. 320m haba, how was this transfer initiated and how did this guy get her account details since there's been a communication breakdown for years... This is truly a fiction.

  4. For me that amount is not realistic at all. She should marry who she loves more. Marrying Stanley is definitely for the money

  5. Nne this is fabu!! What is the source of the money and how did the CBN clear this. Abeg, let's even follow the gist. No questions asked about the guys job description that will yield that amount. Please let her look for a script writer and producer for this tales by moonlight.(Angela)

  6. Lol,
I cannot but laugh, reading the comments.
You have such incredible fan base that stick to reality worst case scenario they go for plausible stories but never fictional ones.
It goes to say they are damn too serious.(Emeka)

  7. Assuming the story is true, my advice will b for her to forget about Stanley and get married to her current guy. It's possible Stanley has been in jail for robbery or drug. For me that explains his absence n sudden wealth!(Queen )

  8. Wonders never end. Did the story say N320m? For marriage preparation and a decent accommodation? I think this guy Stanley should be taken to Yaba left for changing his name to Donatus without court approval. I mean you have not seen or communicated with a lady for about six years, not knowing if she is alive or not you just transferred 320m to an account bearing her name? For marriage I will love to hear them again

  9. She should conspire with the new bobo for them to take the money and disappear! In this story Chiwetalu Agu is the girl's father. The girl is Mercy Johnson or ChaCha.(Funmilola) I like thus comment. Lol

  10. Her story might be true but the amount mentioned is not in anyway obtainable in the recent policies of the CBN. And lets say that her story is true as a lady i would i advise her to forget Stanley and with his enticing gift(money)and promises and move on with the new guy she says she is happy with and have decided to marry. Of course if she is truthful to herself she should know that six years of no contact nor communication from her ex boyfriend is a longtime and a lot have changed, happened and occurred in their lives. let her face her future with the current guy who is hardworking according to her and working his ass out towards their wedding this come Easter and believe that God is still able to change his condition anytime to be like Stanley someday! my own opinion

  11. Abeg this is just a story of a confused girl either to follow money or love. She can advice herself better and explain things to Stanley. If Stanley likes he can still give her part of the cash.

  14. The story sounds real but the amount of money makes it look like a movie. The guy was probably in jail for a crime that yeilded funds *anonymous*
