It's exactly one month today since I started blogging. I have posted a story daily without fail from the 14th of February 2017 till this day and still going. I am grateful to God for the strength and ability to carry on. I have totally enjoyed and still enjoying this journey. Time they say, changes yesterday and I feel the transformation already. I disagree with the phrase, "find your passion and you won't have to work a day in your life" I say, "find your passion and work very hard every day of your life", just that this time, you enjoy your job. I have often stayed awake way past my bedtime writing and in this past one month the earliest I've gone to bed is at 1am. Today, I review these past few weeks and I make just one change; I will sleep early from now and post from 8am each day. Thanks to everyone who reads my blog daily, or every other day. I appreciate all the feedback and the comments and referrals. I pray for you all. Someone said to me "Are you doing it for the money" Hmm.. what kind of question is this? My answer was "Not really, I love to write, it's a passion for me blah blah blah, " I had to shut up because I was lying through my teeth. "Yes please, I'm in it for all the money I can make, don't you see all these responsibilities to be taken care of?" No doubt, I love what I do now, why else would I stay up till 3am writing? It's also amazing how people want other people to succeed. Blogging opened my eyes to see that the world isn't such a terrible place afterall. I have an average of 500 visitors daily and I think it is laudable. A particular story was read by 1900 people. Today, my new friend who is over 80 years old said to me "Amaka, where's the rest of the story?" He was referring to the Que Sera Sera story. Am I not blessed that a senior citizen reads and enjoys my blog. He told me that he reads everything. He made my whole year already. I'm going somewhere, I really am. Please keep reading, keep commenting and keep sharing the link with others. Very soon I will go commercial and I will share my first earning with my readers. I'm so excited I'll be going to bed early tonight. Please say a word of prayer for me on this special day. Thank you and God bless
Well done!

ReplyDeleteWell done Amaka.
ReplyDeleteAmaka, I must commend you, you are doing a fab job, creative words are expected to transport people to wherever you so choose and to be able to achieve that successfully is not as easy as it seems.
ReplyDeleteOne of my most fulfillling moments is when people come out from my creative world and are excited about what they experienced, that keeps me going, consistency is key. My 8-5 job (actually na 7-7) doesn't come close to that feeling of satisfaction...And of course talent applied diligently should multiply exponentially...Currency-wise too (I never meet anyone yet wey no like money)
So am I worried whether or not you'll do well with this wonderful talent?. Nah! You'll do absolutely great, you already are, just keep slaying it. You've encouraged me too
Keep on moving on Amie. U re doing quite well. I see penetrating the sky. U re illimitable
ReplyDeleteWell done.
ReplyDeleteWell done dear. I like your reaponse when the reader asked, where you doing this for money? So many people are into blogging but it is hard to find a story or an article quite interesting and entertaining like yours. I must say "GOODLUCK NNE"
