Aunt Penny

 

The only constant thing in life is change and no condition is permanent. This is Jeff’s position. If he was told three years ago that he would one day consider doing the absurd for money, he could have engaged the prophet of doom in a physical fight.  Jeff had a very good job and was doing quite well for a long time, then like a rude joke, the letter came, his services were no longer needed. How? Was it not just the day before, he opened a record breaking account for the company.

Fifteen years and some months of working in a reputable bank and performing extremely well, only to be given the boot in this manner? Jeff spent a better part of his first years chasing after his debtors, nothing had prepared him for this phase of his life. He was only forty and had planned for an alternative source of income when he turned fifty.

The only thing Jeff has to his name is the house he built because his mother pestered the hell out of him, thankfully, he does not have to worry about house rent now. His days were spent applying for jobs and attending interviews. On a particular interview after he met the panel, he was asked to wait for the Managing Director of the company for a one on one. She was a middle aged woman, very tall and quite big, it was a Friday and she had on a pair of jeans which showed her very heavy fat thighs.

When they were alone, she went straight to the point and told Jeff that he already got the job because she liked the way he looked. Jeff was confused, she explained to him that she was a needy woman and would require his services to take care of her needs from time to time. While he starred in disbelief, she called on her driver to be ready and she gave Jeff no opportunity to decline her offer for a ride to her favourite restaurant.

Madam Kech turned out to be a lovely woman, they talked and talked all through their stay in the restaurant. It was very easy to love Madam Penny, unlike the horrible tale of sugar mummies; she proved to be a very nice lady; they hang out a lot these days and share the same interests.

It doesn’t feel like sin anymore as Jeff has started to “service” Madam Penny, who in return, does him a lot of favours. She is genuinely concerned about his family and makes sure that they never lack in any way. He has a very high position in aunty Penny’s service providng company and the office pays as and when due. She respects herself and nobody in the office has the slightest inkling that they both warm each other’s bed.

Jeff has achieved in one year what he did not achieve in all his years in the public sector.  He built a more decent home and life keeps getting better. Recently, Jeff’s wife went through his phone and saw text messages from Madam Penny. She is upset and has asked Jeff to quit his job.

Jeff says he is not apologetic and is ready to lose his wife over Madam Penny. According to him, Madam Penny is more mature and helps him stay focused to the cause. After all, he still provided the comfort his wife and kids were used to.

They have two children and he says he will never beg, but rather move on with his life if Wini lets him. Aunt Penny has been a strong source of comfort to Jeff and his family.

Now Madam Penny has fallen pregnant and Jeff is not sure how to handle it, tell Wini or not? It will hurt her but Penny is over the moon and does not even want anything from Jeff, not even marriage. She wants Jeff to stay away from the baby’s life and promises to get him another job. Jeff on the other hand wants to be part of his baby’s life and is losing his mind over these current issues.

If you ask me, Keeping this type of secret will definitely cause more problems in the future
