Back on track

I have often heard of the printer’s devil but never the writer’s devil. Well, it attacked my last post and like some of us do all of the time I will blame everything else but myself.

I blame my laptop for accepting the wrong keys and my fingers for not typing what was in my head and I also blame the government for the generator noises that make it hard for one to concentrate.

I blame my car that refused to start yesterday and I blame the mechanic who discovered the fault, couldn’t he have discovered a minor fault instead?

I blame the ache that ravaged my head and the hunger that disturbed me while I tried to stick to my diet. I blame the sun that shone so brightly, it should have known that there was no power for the air-conditioner to stay on.

I blame the power holding company for giving us power when we expected to stay in darkness, they confuse me these days.

My computer is the main culprit here; it should have known that I meant “these” and not “this”, “her” and not “their”. It should have also alerted me when I omitted some words. Doesn’t a computer know it all?

Deep down, I know what is responsible for the writer’s devil but I won’t say, I have learnt the hard way and I will stay away from that “thing”. (It's not weed oh.lol)

I apologise for disappointing those who hold me in high standards, it won’t happen again. Thank you for calling me out, the needful has been done and I am back on track.

God bless you.
