"Bed Sweetness"

Felix is a very handsome young man, I know this because he sent his picture to me and I checked his profile to confirm, he is truly good looking. He looks like those dark men described in a Mills and Boon novel. The most interesting thing is that he is a Mature Single Man (MSM). He has a good job, lives all by himself in a very beautiful house, he will turn fifty this year and he is happily single. Now, the annoying fact is that this guy has no intention of settling down with any woman.

He has a fourteen year old daughter from a relationship, he was with Viola (his baby mama) for seven years, he had hoped that they would get married as the relationship was headed in that direction but things went sour between them. He kept Viola’s picture on his desk and so everyone knew that he was taken yet a girl in his office kept making passes at him, she did not care that he was in a serious relationship; all she wanted was  “a piece of him” according to her.

This particular girl paid him a surprise visit him one Saturday morning at home; he was shocked that she knew where he lived. He was polite and did not ask her to leave immediately, even though he was going to get there. He offered her a drink and somehow they began to talk about work and other work related issues. As he saw her off to the gate, they both saw his girlfriend Viola as she got off a cab. She was furious and wouldn’t say anything to him in the two hours he spent trying to explain to her that he was innocent of whatever she thought.

She left and refused to see him again, even when she realised that she had already fallen pregnant she still wouldn’t say anything to him (This anger is too much na). It was her family who called him to a meeting to say that he had gotten their daughter pregnant, he was asked to marry her but by then he was already fed up with Viola’s behaviour. He refused to marry someone who would not listen to his explanation, hear him out or even forgive him, he promised to take care of her throughout her pregnancy and the baby as well. He also noticed that Viola didn’t care if he wanted to marry her or not. Felix believes that God delivered him from what would have been a disastrous marriage.

Their daughter Cindy is a beautiful fourteen year old girl and has a healthy relationship with her father Felix.

After Viola, Felix was in and out of short relationships till he met Hilda and it looked like he had found the one. A few weeks after Hilda told him that she was still in love with someone from her past she found out that she was expecting Felix’s baby. She wanted to come back to Felix because her new boyfriend wouldn’t stay with her while she was with another man’s baby, but Felix would not accept her either. She had a baby boy Toby, who just turned four.

Felix takes care of his two children; he goes on holidays with them and is very much a part of their lives. Cindy’s mother Viola is married but Toby’s mother Hilda is still unmarried and that brings me to the interesting or funny or weird part of this story. Felix and Hilda still sleep together whenever Hilda visits; she lives in another state and so stays with Felix for days whenever Felix needs to see Toby.  

Felix says that they still have a strong chemistry but he cannot marry her because he will never be able to trust her. He knows that Hilda is seeing someone but they have an understanding and enjoy each other whenever they are together. Felix on other hand, is not seriously involved with anyone at the moment.

Felix was open enough to mention that he had given marrying Hilda a thought just because of how sweet she is in bed, however, he does not think that "bed sweetness" is enough reason to marry a woman. (Many men will disagree with this)

I am not judging but I am not sure that this is a healthy arrangement; I told him as much, he says he agrees with me but cannot help himself (For obvious reasons) plus Okafor’s law in action.

Now to Hilda; Are you happy with this deal? He has said that he will not marry you, why do you still warm his bed? Do not confuse your little boy please!
