God is fully involved

After reading the comments, Neky made a few more points. She says that nothing can ever convince her that the birth of her baby was not a miracle from God. She explained further that the egg and sperm are fertilized outside the body (That's why it's called in vitro) and then put into the woman's body, the miracle of this procedure is the ability of the embryo to latch on to the walls of the womb.

When the woman finally conceives, it is the same miracle for them that had been trying to conceive naturally, but had difficulties because the egg and sperm will not even come together in the first place. If God does not permit it, no latching will take place and everyone goes home sad.

When Neky got pregnant the first time, she prayed all the time like she had never prayed and even gave up certain habits; she said she always heard a gentle voice tell her that everything would be fine. As a staunch Catholic, she visited the Blessed Sacrament very frequently, sought the Virgin Mary’s intercession and every possible Catholic method of Prayer. Being Catholic made her stay away from ART/MAR for nine years. She wishes she had done it earlier.

Again she insists that going through an IVF is not a leisure walk in the park and certainly not a one way ticket out of childlessness. The pre-procedure, procedure itself and after-procedure all come with their baggage the same way natural pregnancies come with theirs and so it is not as if those who go this route are looking for an easy way out.

Two weeks after her first procedure, Neky started to bleed and was terrified of losing her baby and while she was on her hospital bed, she heard that gentle voice again say to her, “Be calm, all is well” and indeed all was well. That soothing voice couldn't have been from the enemy.

No one can convince her that God did not approve her procedure. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and her own opinion is that God is fully involved. In her words, "I will never doubt that God tolerates ART/MAR; people are entitled to their opinions and Neky’s opinion is that God is totally involved"

"How can anyone tell me that God does not approve of my happiness?" "Science can only do so much, God does the rest and no one can say any differently to me".

TI must say that the different schools of thought have done justice to this topic and I pray everyone finds their right path in peace.

  2. Mmmmmm, for me one tgi g I have learned is that ,once you bring an egg and a sperm a life is formed, that means God is not a liar, it does not matter the platform it took place. The devil knows our weakness and comes to us from that angle.

I have seen the joys in the faces of those that have searched for a child.

I leave thus issue for God himself to judge.

I just pray God to lead us in His way and the way He wants

It might l seam easy because I have children but I tell you God has his ways of bringing us closer to Him.

I am never a judge but I believe Christ has given us a church to guide us.

I tell you the truth after I had my fifth child I did insertion so as not to get pregnant again ( irony of life ) I still got pregnant and the message I got was, leave it for Me. I went to God in prayer telling him all I could why I didn't want any pregnancy again ,it was a big vig deal for me, I bought cloths prayed with them and shared them to those that needed issue , later I saw my menses, so if I tell you we all have ways that God wants to draw us closer, I know what am saying.

I have noticed that those not financially okay never have issue with child bearing, so maybe Get d wants us to take those abandoned children, once they are legally yours they are yours.

Pls I want all women to be happy, I gave an aunt that looked for a chil D's for so many years, when she finally had one she made the prayer that God should give every woman even if its just a child so they can know the sweetness of it.

I wish all of us well and pray we do as it pleases God.
