Tee's Daisy

Tee (real name withheld) is a very successful young man, happily married with children; he is a hands on daddy whose primary duty is to provide all the comfort that his family needs.

Before he met his wife, he dated Daisy (real name withheld) for some years; their relationship was a blossoming one, they loved each other deeply and both looked forward to the day when they would be called husband and wife. Both Tee’s and Daisy’s families knew each other and everyone believed that the two lovebirds would eventually tie the knots after graduation.

Tee had such plans in mind and strived really hard as soon as he graduated from school to make a living.  He did all that he could do to earn Daisy’s trust that he wouldn’t break her heart.

Well, the tables turned and it was Daisy who broke Tee’s heart; without any hint, she dealt Tee a blow that affected him for a long time. He only recovered after he met Pauline (not real name) his wife.

Daisy never gave Tee a reason for her actions, he tried a couple of times to find out why she, the love of his life all of a sudden decided to end the beautiful relationship that they had. It was difficult to comprehend, but Tee just had to move on.

Fast forward to five years, Tee met Pauline and he knew the meaning of love all over again; Daisy was at some point an important part of his life and so he thought it was necessary to let his wife know about this lady that he once loved very deeply.

After Tee got married, Daisy remained unmarried for a few more years till she finally met a man who appeared to be the “One”. Tee was overly happy when he learnt of Daisy’s marriage; he wanted to reach out but decided not to, it was a fresh marriage and the last thing he wanted to do was cause any small doubt in the mind of the new bride.

Tee had carefully avoided and severed every tie with Daisy, her family and friends. Regardless of the decision he took concerning her, he knew exactly where to find her at any given time.

Now, Tee, who is presently based in the United States, but recently came visiting, heard through a mutual friend that his former “love of life” Daisy had a very rough time in her marriage and had to walk out of it. (Daisy can walk out shaa!). The strange thing is that Tee found himself getting all excited at the mere possibility of seeing Tee's Daisy again after all these years. (Tee's Daisy was what friends called Daisy then)

His source who is quite close to Daisy also gave him the information that Daisy is currently going through a very tough period, the bad marriage that she had just gotten out from took a bad toll on her, her finances suffered and she was starting life from the beginning again.

Tee is not happy with this information and feels that he should do something about Daisy’s present situation, he still feels responsible for her especially since she is no longer in any relationship. He has the wherewithal to take care of Daisy to some extent and he feels he should reach out to her.

Although Tee is prepared to help Daisy get back on her feet again, he has challenges on how to go about it and also confused about certain issues. First, he is sceptical of how Daisy will receive his offer for assistance. The big confusion for him is whether to let his wife know of his plans to assist his ex girlfriend or not.

It sounds to me like Tee still feels a thing or two for Daisy, (wink, wink), this is not a problem, however, Tee should be careful not to delve into the wrong path while trying to assist. Secondly, no need to worry about whether or not Daisy will accept his help, no reasonable person refuses a genuine assistance and most especially from a friend.   

Finally, Tee should not bring wifey into the matter, she may discourage it, the only time wifey should be part of this transaction is if Tee is convinced that his flesh may fail him. Then he may hand over to wifey to deal in which case Daisy may snub the offer. I‘m not even sure if I am giving the right advice, this apparently little issue suddenly looks complicated.
