A lifetime of Sex 2

This is a totally new twist to the story I thought had ended, I almost did not share but hey! it is not about me but about the people who read, and there is definitely a lesson or two to be learnt.

Katherine’s story continues…It took a near disaster for her body to rise to the occasion.

It was obvious to Katherine that her marriage was in danger and because of her new found faith in God she resorted to prayers; deep down she knows that she still loves her husband Randy very much and so that wasn’t the problem, she had not fallen out of love but had a big problem that had to do with her mental state of mind.

She sought her friend, Oche’s (not real name) advice and the solution Oche proffered nearly ruined her marriage, Oche was a much older lady than Katherine, in her middle fifties. She advised Katherine to try a different guy, it was possible that she was bored with Randy and needed a taste of a new penis, (Oche’s words not mine).

Katherine was flabbergasted to say the least, it was hard to believe that this sort of advice could come from a woman she respected so much; Oche had a seemingly very happy home, well behaved grown children and her relationship with her husband was an enviable one in their neighbourhood. She told her that 90% (not my survey oh)of married women have cheated on their husbands at least one time including her.

Nothing prepared Katherine for the shocker, aunty Oche like she called her looked nothing like what she spluttered out; she was so decent, dressed and spoke very modestly, besides she was an elder in her place of worship.

Katherine couldn’t sleep that night; she had turned Randy down again and she knew that he was livid, but she couldn’t help herself. This was months after she had let him make love to her while she lay like a corpse. Aunty Oche’s words kept ringing in her ear, “you need a new experience to bring the spark back into your marriage”

Aunty Oche’s theory is that if a woman cheats on her husband, then she would automatically want to satisfy him out of guilt, another dimension is that whenever she remembers her sexcapade, it puts her in the mood and it would be to her husband’s benefit. She concluded that Oche was a wise woman and she would take her advice.

Katherine has permanent locks and she always met this particular guy who also had permanent locks in the salon. She had always seen him but paid no attention to the fact that he always paid her a compliment each time they met in the salon.

Somehow she started to enjoy the fact that he flirted with her; one of the days that they ran into each other again in the salon, they got talking and she learnt that he was previously based in the United States but relocated after his last daughter got into College and according to him, he also got separated from his black American wife.

It started on whatsapp, they would chat into the night about everything from hair treatment to how he was coping without a wife in Nigeria.They graduated to very intimate talks about themselves and in no time, they were making plans for a getaway; Katherine was going to tell Randy that it was an official trip, the location was pre-arranged; a nice hotel in Eket.

No one could convince Katherine that aunty Oche was not a genius, the thought alone of being with this new guy Freddy, turned her on so badly. The night before her proposed trip, she was so horny that she moved really close to Randy and made a failed attempt to turn him on; he seemed to have lost interest completely.

She was going to drive to Eket, the journey was less than two hours from Port Harcourt; as she was about to leave the house that morning, Randy came to the car, looked at her and said, “so you are going to do it?” Katherine grew weak on the knees immediately and nearly fell flat on her face, but she summoned her last energy to put up an act, “What do you mean?” she even knew that her voice sounded so weak.

Randy had observed his wife for a while, she who could abandon her phone for hours no longer stayed a minute without it and to worsen it all, she put a password. He watched her key in the password and while she slept, he read all her conversations with Freddy; she had even sent him a picture of her breasts.

By the time she heard all her husband had to say, she passed out briefly, Randy couldn’t let her do it, his initial plan was to trail her to Eket and catch her red handed but he couldn’t let that happen, he loved her too much to watch her stray.

That evening, Randy called her father, she was so ashamed of herself when her parents arrived at her house with her older brother, but her husband did not get his own family involved because Katherine’s father pleaded with him not to; he had to give room for reconciliation. Katherine left with her parents that evening and she cried her eyes out; her father wouldn’t speak to her for one month and her brother came to the house everyday to remind her that she rubbed their family name in the mud.

Her mother was the only one who answered her when she greeted, she missed her children and she missed her husband; he never picked her calls and never responded to her text messages although he dropped off her children and their nanny every other weekend to spend some time with their mother; Katherine hated aunty Oche for teaching her nonsense. She prayed morning, day and night and hoped for a miracle, somehow she knew that her colleagues had started to talk about her, but she also knew that Randy did well to hide her ugly story.

As she made to leave her office at the close of work one Friday, she saw Randy in the waiting room of her office, she almost ran back but he saw her on time and called her name. He took her to their favourite restaurant, they talked about everything, and it took a lot of wisdom not to have mentioned aunty Oche.

Randy had gotten more spiritual and he knew he wanted to keep his home, he was ready to forgive her; Katherine knelt down there and begged Randy for pardon. She cried all the way back to her office to pick her car. It was exactly two months since Randy sent her packing; God had answered her prayers!

The following day being a Saturday, Randy came to formally ask Katherine’s father to let him take his wife back home, it was a happy moment for her parents and they thanked him from their hearts. She never knew she still had it her and as she let him have all of her and more that night she made a vow to him to love him forever, she thanked him for taking her back and promised him heaven on earth.lol

Katherine has not set her eyes on Freddy ever since, she blocked him on whatsapp, and has not responded to any of his text messages, he says he spent two cold nights in the hotel, he couldn’t waste the money that he already paid, he suddenly sounds and looks stupid to Katherine.

Aunty Oche doesn’t know why Katherine literarily runs whenever she sees her, she was walking in the estate the other evening and as soon as she saw aunty Oche she started sprinting, she knows that aunty Oche cannot run to save her life. She saw her at the supermarket, she was already out of her car, but she jumped back inside and sped off all the way out of the premises. Aunty Oche asked Randy to speak to his wife and he has done as much, the only response he got from Katherine was “okay”. All I can say at this point is, “Once bitten, twice shy”

Katherine says that the devil held her to ransom by using her past against her. She never stopped praying for her marriage, she also had to learn to forget her past and forgive herself for past sins. She enjoys full restoration of her marriage now and life couldn’t feel better.
