What a Story!

I had a discussion with a friend and she said that she knows that a lot goes on in our world but would rather ignore them and focus on living a good life.

No problem with that but I don’t believe in turning a deaf ear to the ills in our society and that is why I keep fishing for stories thereby putting them on the front burners for the world to hear and take caution. It is easy to get carried away and pretend that life is a bed of roses whereas there is more to it than cakes and ice cream.

When people who live in denial or delusion are hit by a strange circumstance, there is no shield, they are totally unprepared and the result is a state of deep depression.

Daisy (not real name) first child to her parents recently delivered her first child in the United States of America. Her boyfriend Jacee (not real name) had never met Daisy’s parents, they both met in the States and started to co-habit after about three years of friendship; Daisy fell pregnant to the chagrin of her parents.

It was after she put to bed that they spoke to her about bringing Jacee home to do the right thing. They were not aware that their daughter and Jacee had lived together for over two years and cinsider themselves married. Jacee’s parents lived in the US and they were the ones who knew of all the developments.

The last time Daisy visited, she was pregnant but her parents did not notice, no thanks to her very slim nature; some of her friends also did not notice that she was pregnant till she put to bed.

Daisy and Jacee eventually decided to come home to seek redress, and for Jacee to formally ask Daisy’s parents to let him marry their daughter. Daisy’s parents gave their blessing and they held a quiet wedding and reception within a short notice and shortly after they travelled back home to the United States.

With bridges mended and wounds healed, Daisy made arrangements for her mother to visit and carry out the traditional “omugwo” (a mother’s duty to take care of her grandchild within a specific period). Daisy’s mother arrived the US and it was a dream come true for her; she loved to live life but was never quite able to live the sort of life that she wanted. She fell in love with the US and was happy when her daughter pleaded with her to stay longer; she accepted and Daisy formally extended her stay.

Daisy’s mother suddenly took ill on the third month of her stay in the US, at first it looked like a minor illness but when she wouldn’t stop throwing up; Daisy had no choice but to take her mother to the hospital. It was there in the hospital that they both got the shocking news that Daisy’s mother was pregnant. (She had just turned fifty three and she often joked with her daughters that she couldn’t wait for the time when they would stop borrowing sanitary towels from her).

Daisy’s father obviously was not responsible for this pregnancy which the doctors confirmed was just three weeks old. Who could it be?

The answer was right before Daisy; her darling Jacee had been sleeping with her mother right under her nose. She is yet to recover from the shock; it took a lot of pleadings to stop Daisy from telling her father; the real reason she didn’t was because she knew her father was hypertensive. They got her mother to abort the pregnancy and she went back to Nigeria.

Daisy wants nothing to do with her mother anymore, and she has filed for a divorce. Right now, she is still trying to pick the pieces of her shattered life. What a story!

  1. I disagree with the decision not to tell her husband. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. How can she get away with this and still reward her by not telling her husband who she went back to live with? Absurd !!!

  2. Dear Amaka,
    My heart weeps;

Let me try and put the crisis points of this story together.

A 53year old mother capable of getting pregnant, is still dreaming of raunchy sex to the point of sleeping with daughter's randy husband.

Then they are so perverted morally to abort the innocent baby.

How can they atone such an outrageous crime against humanity; a grave sin against God. Would it not have been far better for them to endure the shame they brought upon themselves than hide in perpetual misery for committing this crime.

The stage was set by the two years cohabitation; this points to total collapse of the moral fabric of all parties that were involved and were aware ab initio.

My conclusion; there is a serpentine presence of the Evil One. He is holding all these souls under his captive.

I can perceive his sulphuric presence in those homes; and I am commending them to my prayers.

There is alot of reparation to be done; God had been gravely offended.

  3. SHAMELESS woman/mother and to her daughter for that matter.. Nkea a bukwa aluu bikonu!!let her(daughter) go and report her to UMU ADA of her village and let them deal with her properly.
And for your husband my dear pls even though its going to be difficult but still find it somewhere in your heart and forgive him. Our men are always vulnerable to these things due to how they're wired. Don't be surprised that he was lured and seduced by your mother. After all you guys have been living together so well until she came into your lives.

  5. My dear it is indeed a story. The truth of the matter is that the enemy is never on recesses. His strategy of all times have been to tempt us with his three basic P's : Pleasure, power and possession. At all times there has always been a willing to at his disposal. This mother in the story is one ( now murderer). I do not believe that men are wired to be that gullible. If you don't stand for something you stand for every thing. The young man has not moral and no value so women to him are sex machine that satisfies a troubled penis.

  6. Daisy just let your father know who he had married. Who even knows whose child you are? As for the he-goat just take a long walk from him coz if he sees your daughter he can take her regardless.
