Your Best is Good Enough

Dear Lilea's Blog readers,

I decided to do something that I had undertaken to stay away from. I had something else to write but I could not let an opportunity to help save a life pass me by.

I suddenly realised that I am only able to make rules because I'm in a good state of mind and body.

Life is unpredictable and nobody knows what surprises may spring up at any point.

We wake up everyday and make plans for tomorrow like tomorrow belongs to us. We plan to buy new clothes, to build a house, change jobs, buy stuff for the children, pay school fees for a whole year, travel for a holiday, visit loved ones and a lot more.

One thing we never plan for is sickness, I've never heard that someone bought a kidney and saved it for when his own failed.

When I saw a picture of this young lady and her two adorable daughters, my heart went out to the whole family. Those girls definitely need their mother around for a very long time, no one deserves to suffer and die so young. I'm sure she had her own plans; maybe to go to the movies with them, plait their hair or travel for Christmas. (SMH)

I learnt that this particular lady is even an alumna of my school,  Abia State University and all I can think of is we walked the same pathways and may have even eaten the same kinds of food at some point in our lives. But here she is fighting to live while some of us have weight-loss as our biggest problem.

I appeal to you reading right now to please do something for Lizzy. You may not have the wherewithal to handle the whole bill like you'd want to; just do your bit and leave the rest to God.

Most importantly,  this woman needs our prayers. You can check her out on Facebook with her name Lizzy Esonu..

She's been diagnosed with pregnancy induced liver failure and needs a transplant urgently.

Please remember her in your prayers and also support her with whatever you can spare towards the surgery

Nothing is too small, your best is good enough!

Her account details can be found on the flyer. Please make all payments directly to Lizzy.

Thank you and God bless
