Sharon and Hyde (not real names) were neighbours from childhood; their likeness for each other was always there from when Hyde fought anyone who looked for Sharon’s trouble till adulthood when they realised that what they felt for each other was more than meets the eyes.
It was Hyde who took away her innocence, right under the staircase; it wasn’t planned she was sent on an errand and she went through the back stairs. At that same time, Hyde came through his own back door and they bumped into each other, to make it worse or better (depending on how you see it) there was no light. (Up NEPA!)
It was mutual, no words said, it just happened and they both felt very good. It was a month of torture as both hoped and prayed that Sharon was not pregnant; finally the wait was over and they were overjoyed and promised not to do it again till they were ready for marriage.
Their relationship grew even stronger till Matty (not real name) the new girl whose family had just moved into the street took an interest in Hyde, who wouldn’t? Hyde was too fine then. Matty was carefree and kind of wild; when other girls still pretended to be innocent, she took pride in being referred to as the “bad girl”; she did the chasing and it excited the boys.
Like many other boys, Hyde could not resist Matty, Sharon caught them at that same spot where she gave in to Hyde and she was heartbroken for months. She lost a lot of weight and couldn’t tell anyone what she was going through.
Fast forward to adulthood, Hyde and Sharon got married, six years into their marriage; on a certain day Sharon reads a text from a lady on her husband’s phone. She saves the number on her own phone and forgets all about it. Some days later, Hyde tactfully walks out from the room to take a call, Sharon also tactfully checked the number and it was the same number.
Two weeks later, she read another text from the same number, “You are still the best”. She checked to see if this number was on a particular social media platform; lo and behold, with her best smile and looking even more stunning was Matty!!!
Sharon has moved out of her home with their four year old daughter, she says it could have been more tolerable if it was another woman but not the same woman who humiliated her years ago. She wants to file for a divorce.
I know how she feels and I may be wrong but I really do not think that it is enough reason to divorce Hyde who has been asking for forgiveness ever since.
Wow likes,
ReplyDeleteThis is so interesting. I think moving out and filing for divorce because of Matty makes no sense. She should go back home. Her husband needs her. The devil you know is even better...
Matty will always be the second fiddle or the side chick as you will call her so why give in to this nobody my dead go back home to hubby and be happy
ReplyDeleteMatty will always be the second fiddle or the side chick as you will call her so why give in to this nobody my dead go back home to hubby and be happy
ReplyDeleteIf she move out, that is an opportunity for Matty to move into her matrimonial home so anybody that knows her should advise her to rethink and return If not......... Hmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteNice article
ReplyDeleteHaba mana! How on earth is Sharon leaving her matrimonial home? She should go back and fight the devil Matty. Tell her to go watch that film called" War Room" then she can device her strategy
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.......forgiveness is key in any relationship but yet again it's easier said than done
ReplyDeleteWell unlike the first opinion; There is no such thing as "the devil you know..... (THAT STATEMENT MUST HAVE COME FROM HELL)... correctly said; "THE CHRIST YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE DEVIL YOU DON'T KNOW"... Now having said that, Matti or what ever she's called was always their when Hyde married Sharon so Sharon should engaged her in a very public and disgraceful"Saloon Confrontation" to end this mess!
ReplyDeleteSharon together with Hyde should seek for a marriage councillor
ReplyDeleteHyde! Hyde! The bahd guy. Its obvious Sharon's so distraught because of her love for her husband. And dealing with a strange woman should be done from the place of prayer, kick her butt out just like the health sector been trying to kick malaria outta Africa. Yours would be faster thou cuz God honors the marriage covenant
ReplyDeleteI don't see the right-ness in having a side chic.
Hyde just had to make the show to go on even long after he had left za building years ago....smh!
Marriage is for better or for worse ( this is the worse part) she has to forgive him and give him another chance. When it gets to "worst" then she can decide in the place of prayer what the next move would be
We should make conscious efforts to always go to the place of prayer FIRST for our family rather than acting spontaneous because our decisions doesn't just affect us alone, it affects the family..a ripple effect that we might have no control over when the waves move further away from us.
I just so hope this is not a princess diana-charlie-camilla love triangle
