It is no longer news that a certain young
nursing mother Maryam Sanda stabbed her husband Bilyamin Muhammed Bello severally on the body including his private
part which led to his death. The young man was buried yesterday in accordance with Muslim
rites.
Both are children of prominent
people in the society but what has that got to do with anything? The story is
just a horrible one which confirms that the rich also cry. Stupidity,
wickedness, senselessness and madness have no preference, they happen to
whoever they choose and they chose this very silly girl at this time.
The reason for the violence is
the reason why I call her silly; she suspected him of cheating and the best she
could do was to get violent. It was reported that she had at first cut off his
ear with her TEETH, oh what an animal!
A lot of women take this marriage
thing too seriously and too far, anyone ever heard of the phrase, “do not take
life too seriously because you can never get out of it alive”? I still do not understand why
some women go all crazy when the man strays; it’s not that serious ladies, it
cannot be worse than a surgery to remove a fibroid.
A lot of women go through
very painful health challenges and you fight in your home over a dangling piece
of flesh? A lot of women are childless and have gone through the pains of
waiting, scorn, failed IVFs and trauma of being barren and you fight over ten
minutes of pleasure.
Like someone commented on my
social media page earlier today, do you have your name engraved on his penis? Even
if you do and it rightfully belongs to you, have you not ever played with
someone else’s toy in your life?
Anyone who raises a hand to fight
a spouse, be it a woman or a man, such a person is a tout! Especially the
woman, a woman who fights is not fit to be a woman, why demystify womanhood? As
a woman the only time you are allowed to fight is when you are protecting your
child from an apparent danger or fighting to save your own life.
Now don’t tell me that
this mad
girl could have been protecting herself from the hubby, that is not even
true,
the story is out there and until a contrary one emerges, we believe the
report
on ground. How can someone bite on someone
else’s body part till it falls off, that person must be vicious and a
closet
cannibal/vampire. Other factors like neglect or traces of violence from
the man could have caused the lady in question to go all wild on the
husband but I do not really care, she is a murderer, period!
As
I look at the picture of the victim, I wonder how his parents
must feel especially his mother, a promising life ended by the wrath of a
woman. Senseless wrath of a crazy woman. I look at the young lady’s
picture and I see lines that look like traces of mental ill-heath.
Please do not ask me how I know. She is a nursing mother and could be
going through post natal depression. (It happens to Africans as well) No
one can
convince me that the lady is not mentally unstable and the man should
have
known this much after the evil bite, just like I know a love bite, I
know an
evil bite. How did she deal with the blood from the ear?
I believe that the young
man wanted his
marriage to work or he was too manipulated by her to leave, I hate to
see men
being controlled by women, appalling stuff, such men agree sheepishly to
every opinion
from their wives and follow suit like little school boys.Not like it is
better to be controlled by a man, that is even worse, can you please
just be you?
This story further confirms that
men also suffer from domestic violence (DV) but they keep quiet out of shame in
most cases because after all, men do not cry. How many more men are silently
going through domestic violence? Seek help as soon as you can and as for the
murderer I hope that she has the penis she loved and fought so hard for hanging
on her neck and taking it everywhere she goes?
One advice for spouses in a DV
home, guys, if she stabs you or tries to stab you, man-handle her a bit, just a bit and take
her to the police. Ladies, if he tries to beat you please run as fast as you
can to safety except you are sure of your fighting skills. Then you can beat
him well, get him arrested and consider your marriage over!

It is a very pathetic one I must say and it boils down to what you have said "the rich also cry". Domestic violence isn't just for the poor and low life.Like I would always say if it is not adding any value to you please take a walk and find your purpose. Everyone prays for a good marriage and God abhors divorce that I know but if it is life threatening then one needs to borrow him/herself sense and do the needful. The biting off the ear was just enough for the hubby to quit but then I can imagine family interference and all that and he stayed back and the end result is death. The lady I feel is not mentally stable, she should be evaluated and face the law.
ReplyDeleteAgain our society is sick,I had an experience few weeks ago and I realized that some things are easier said than done, it only takes a strong will power to do the needful because our African setting will tell you to endure, fight for your right, it's your home but then I asked at the detriment of your life and health? Men and women should speak up, forget what the world would say, highest it would be a 2months gist and it would die off. Nobody tells a story better than the owner of the story. This young man is no where to tell his story.
It's just a pity! May God heal our homes.
Very sad incident. I wouldn't wish it on an enemy. What a waste of life. When love begins to hurt to the extent someone begins to nurture the thought of ending someone's life then it becomes a mental issue. They should have sought counselling at the first sign of violence in that way avoiding such a catastrophic disaster. I feel sad for both families as they have lost a son and son-in-law. My heart goes out to them at such a difficult time. Efforts should be made to get the lady a psychological and psychiatric help because she needs it.

ReplyDeleteKeep 2 phones- 1 not to be brought home but kept in the boot of the car downstairs.
Develop the habit of deleting as you read. It will save your life.
Take your wife for mental check up regularly
Save your girlfriends number with your mothers name. It's a major repellent.
Change your password daily.
Never marry a quiet woman. The ones that will scream and slap will never kill you.
Never pretend to be faithful. Let them catch you once in a while. It's training and will prepare them.
Lock up all the knives in your house and let her sign a register stating what she needs them for and allocate time frame for usage.
Regulate the usage of rat poison and other chemicals In the house. Make sure her mother tastes your food before eating.
Regulate and supervise her relationship with her mother. That would cut off supply chain for arms
Sleep with your body ensconced in armour and borrow or buy okada helmet to protect the head
Have a sit down with your wife and discuss possible methods of your death in the event of her catching you. This is to ensure a painless transition
When choosing a girlfriend go for the most beautiful and exotic that you can find. Since it is now a matter of life and death chop better so your death would be justified
Finally, update your will on a daily cos you will surely be caught.

ReplyDeleteThe earlier we realise that, the easier it is for us to deal with matters of the heart. God is the only one that can change a stray to someone accountable, an infidel/adultrer/adultress to a man/woman that fears God. Our naggings and beatings can't, they only put the behaviour on "pause".
If a spouse is messing up, report him/her daily to God because he's the one that is meant to be at the centre of the home. If you take matters into your hand, God would leave it jejely for you, he ain't ready for no power tussle with man. One day the "weed" that is causing the spouse to misyan will stop to work.
If your marriage wasn't meant to be, He will make a way of escape for you, it's not by fire and by force to make marriage work, the only thing that is by fire and by force is be with Christ wherever he might be, everything else pales in comparison to the level of importance!
Violence should never be an option for both parties. Obviously she lost it cos it was a crime of passion and stabbing is very personal. Now lives have been destroyed in a moment of rage. I pity her but the law should run its course. I pity the baby more. May his soul rest in peace.
