Eternal Salvation

I am yet to see a woman who does not like being admired. Every woman loves compliments and many others love being chased, the reason why a few do not like to be chased is simply because they do not know how to come out of such situations successfully. Success is relative in this context though. Simply put, every woman is a natural born flirt.

Ada is a woman in her middle forties and has been married for over ten years. She says that one thing she is a hundred percent sure of in her marriage is the fact that she still loves her husband Babs exactly the same way that she did when they first fell in love. (Is this even possible?)

Ada reminisced on how in love they were as a couple and then emotionally talked about how her husband let his desire to provide for the family spoil the perfect union that they had.
Babs is everything a woman would want in a man, kind and generous and takes absolute care of his family, Ada and the children do not lack in any way. He did not have much when he got married to Ada but he promised to do all in his power to make her life beautiful and comfortable and he has never failed her.

Ada drives one of the latest SUVs and lives in a beautiful home, holiday with the children every year is not negotiable and Babs spoils her silly with gifts. She has everything she wants yet Ada says that she is not entirely happy in her marriage. Babs travels a lot and when he is around spends more time working and expanding his business.

Ada however agreed that her husband tries his best to make up for lost times, he takes her away once a year for two weeks to somewhere really nice. (Women are hard to please though). She has never suspected him of infidelity and says he’s never given her any reason to do so…so what is the problem? She wants him around more. He doesn’t notice when she has a new hairstyle or wears something new and this hurts her feelings. (Seriously?)

Ada arrived church earlier than usual on a certain Sunday and had enough time to chat with a young church worker who was always very polite to people. He asked of her husband and the children and that started a conversation.  Just before he left to carry on with his duty for the day, he told her that she had lost a lot of weight and looked really nice in a dress.

Ada said that she couldn’t concentrate all through the service; she also noticed that she started to get shy whenever she saw him in church. It took a little time before she realised that she was paying more attention to her makeup and had not put on native attire to church since she had that conversation with Steve the young church worker. That was how Ada got her groove back!

The first Sunday that she did not see Steve in church was a very long day for her, she asked his group leader for his number at the end of service and gave him a call afterwards.  It was then that she learnt that Steve was a medical doctor; he changed jobs and was required to be on call every other Sunday. They agreed to meet up for lunch during the week. It took Ada two hours to choose the right pair of jeans and a top, Steve kept gazing at her as she walked towards where he sat in the restaurant waiting for her.

Ada said that she felt like a girl on her first date as Steve said things to her that she had not heard in almost ten years. She was truly happy and laughed most of the time, she felt no guilt when her husband called and she lied that she had lunch with an old friend who she ran into days before.

Steve has become her personal doctor and although they are super sexually attracted to each other, there will be no sexual intimacy for the sake of eternal salvation. Ada says that the feeling is enough for her, she feels younger, sexier and healthier. She no longer thinks too much about the bad sides of her marriage more so she has a confidant to share her woes with.

She believes that she is her best self and would recommend this sort of healing to any woman in a similar situation like she was in. She found a fresh lease on life in Steve and is now a firm believer that this is what the phrase “Thinking out of the box” truly means. More like “Looking out of the box”. Lol.

Does flirting make a marriage stronger?

  5. Dangerous liaison. It could look harmless at first but one day their guides will be let down & they do the unthinkable. As hard as it is she’s best severing that friendship sooner than later. This also should serve as a warning to men...pay attention to your wives, women flourish where they are nurtured....nurturing is not limited to material things, or sex....nurture the inner girl in her, pay her lots of compliments, notice the little things and you’ll see her blossom.

  6. As much as this flirting makes her feel very good, it's beyond selfish to me. What about the man's needs after all that? Shameful !!
