License to Cheat

A post made the rounds recently comparing a married man who cheats to a married woman who cheats. The post made a lot of inferences such as; a man can cheat and still love his wife, men do not attach emotion to sex and then the writer stated that same cannot be said of the woman who cheats.

He (writer is obviously a man) went on to say that a man whose wife cheats should count himself lucky to be alive because when a woman cheats, she falls in love with whoever she cheats with and it becomes a threat to the husband’s life.

The summary of the long post is that it is better for a man to cheat than for a woman to cheat.  

Some parts of the article may be true especially the part that says that for a woman, sex and emotion go together but that is not to say that women who have sex with no strings attached do not exist. 

Haven’t the men heard of the saying “What a man can do a woman can do better”? I have met women who use men just as the men use the women. They have needs for the men to meet and once the deal is done they move on, no feelings at all. Such women have their work tools and they do not need to be touched by the men to release the juice that all the men are willing to die for.

The truth is that more women have their heads in place when they sleep with a man; they are not the ones who promise to buy “London” when they go to “a phone”. If a woman sleeps with a man who is not her husband, there is always a mission to be accomplished. 

I agree that some women have let themselves be carried away by the pleasure of a joy stick and it has led them to commit a lot of atrocities but it is rare and most especially in our country. It may be said of the Americans and the Europeans, that a woman planned with her lover to kill her husband but that is foreign to us. If you hear such in Nigeria then the lover must be a very wealthy man who is able to take care of the entire needs of the woman.

A Nigerian woman will rather kill for money than for the joy stick except in unique cases and when they do, it is not because they want to run off with some poverty stricken man whose only achievement is being a superman in bed. Who dat one epp?

So this is me saying that adultery whether by the man or the woman is wrong and none should be justified because if you want to go that lane the argument will go in favour of the woman.

A man cheats for no reason, he sees a girl and from that moment all he is thinking of is how to get in between her legs. Men in most cases will sleep with any kind of woman, beautiful or ugly, tall or short, literate or illiterate, slim or fat as long as there’s an opening somewhere they go for it. 

Some will even tell you that the uglier the woman, the better she is in bed and some men have said that most beautiful women are dirty and smelly down there just to justify their weird tastes in the other woman. 

Without discretion they sleep with any woman and put their wives and children at the risk of a strange woman, a desperate woman will do anything to get into a man’s home even if it means killing the woman in her way. 

Men are more prone to fall victims of black magic because they do not pray. ( Yes I have gone spiritual). Also, some men are easily manipulated by a woman who has given it to them real good and they begin to do the strange woman’s bidding, they neglect the home and remove every protection that they provide in the home thereby leaving the home front weak and susceptible to the arrows of a desperate woman.

Now show me a woman who cheats and I will tell you why she cheats, most women will cheat because there is a void that needs to be filled. A good percentage of women will do the unthinkable for the sake of their children. 

A woman may cheat because she is neglected by her husband; a woman may cheat just to put food on the table for her family, to pay her husband’s medical bills and even to take care of her own parents and siblings. The easiest thing for a woman in need to do is to use what she has to get what she wants.

Now who is a more dangerous cheat? The man who cheats because of some make-believe hormones or the woman who cheats to save humanity? Haha!

I know what you are thinking right now and I agree that there are some nymphomaniacs out there who do it just for the heck of it but they are only a few and they do not speak for the mother whose body has been ravaged by scars of childbirth and whose husband no longer finds desirable. 

They do not speak for the woman who spends hours trying to get the husband’s work tool up and nodding to no avail yet she knows that the little demon stands and ready to attack in no time when his master is with his secretary.

They definitely do not speak for the woman with a wayward husband who will rather spend the money outside while his children go to bed hungry. 

A woman I know has to manage two hundred naira to provide dinner for herself and her two children while the husband goes to his mistress’s house and gets his fill of cooked and uncooked food.

A woman who cheats brings the resources home but a man who cheats takes away from the family’s resources. So who really deserves a license to cheat? I leave you to decide.
