Pen to Paper

I still remember that evening when I decided to put pen to paper or fingers to laptop; It was time to do something different and what I had been made to feel I couldn't do, I prayed about it and and asked God to guide my fingers.

Then I shared my first story which I had posted earlier on my Facebook page titled “The Praying Side Chic”. It was a story that went viral and turned me into a counsellor.

A day after I posted the story, a lady contacted me via Facebook and said it was like I had told her sister’s story. She went on to narrate her own sister’s story to me which I equally wrote and shared online, and afterwards we chatted almost all night analysing people’s comments and rubbing minds on how to get her sister to quit the toxic affair.

The first side chic is no longer a side chic; main chic never found out but she got married to a guy who showed serious interest in settling down with her.

Age was no longer on her side and she needed her own children. Her ex settled her really well with a lot of cash with which she started her new business and they are still very much in touch which makes me worried. Is it a case of once a side chic, always a side chic?

In solidarity with the side chics a man contacted me to share his story which I titled “Best of both Worlds”. The married man in the story had dated a lady for a few years and felt it was wrong not to marry her. He made the moves and that was when he discovered that his wife knew about his affair all the while but just played dumb.

The wife is a rare being to me because I cannot think of a lot of women who would keep quiet over their husbands’ extra marital affairs; the only time a woman keeps quiet is when she is planning murder.

The spookiest story I have written till date is the story about the woman who died after being maltreated by her husband but got her revenge from the grave, her husband died on the day of his marriage to another woman which was the same wedding date as his first marriage; he died screaming his late wife’s name and asking her to spare his life. The late couple's twin children are doing well.

My favourite stories are of the Mature Single Women who found love eventually. The guy who is dating an unassuming married woman still can’t let go of her. Hmm, I hope they both come to their senses soon.

The poop feast still grosses me out and I still can’t fathom it, pardon my bluntness but I can’t stand the smell of my own so I will never understand why poop should be a part of the most beautiful physical exercise that God created. Gross! Gross! Gross!

Many stories are close to my heart but I can't mention them all, I still miss Ruby my sister's dog and my Yoruba friend invited me to another owambe, I didn't wear Ankara this time and I had my face made up by a professional. I had my image to redeem.lol

By the way, I have a story coming up, for those who wonder like me why a marriage of over fifteen years would suddenly hit the rocks please look out for the story! Still gathering my facts and I will share as soon as possible.
Cheers!
