The King of the Palace

Olu and his wife Funke are presently not speaking to each other and the reason is what confuses me.

They have been married for eight years and this is the first time such an issue has come up in their marriage.

Funke had a dream and narrated the events of the dream to her husband for some consolation.

What she got instead was a lot of tongue lashing from Olu calling her all sorts of distasteful names.

Funke was on vacation  in an island all by herself. She was led into a palace where she met the king of the palace, a very handsome and able bodied young man.

The people who led her to the place were like palace guards and as soon as they took her to the king, they bowed and left shutting the big wooden door behind them.

It was like a love affair, Funke was in love with the good looking prince who was dressed regally in white.

The king walked up to her and pulled her up from where she was seated. She was dressed in a swimsuit and had a scarf round her waist for a bit of decency.

As soon as she got up from where she sat, the king took her in his arms and gave her a deep kiss.

All of a sudden, a beautiful big bed covered in white bedsheets seemed to appear in a corner and the king led Funke to it.

He laid her on the bed and made love to her. She even asked for a second helping and when she exploded in ecstasy again, she immediately woke up from her slumber.

She was so grateful that it was only a dream for her heart was filled with guilt while she was at it with the king. Se sat up on her bed and tried to make sense of it all. She could feel some wetness which got her more worried.

She also realised that she recognised the face of the king, it was Ife, Olu's very good friend.

Later that morning she told her husband of her dream and the first thing he did was to ask if she knew the man's face.

She innocently mentioned that it was Ife and that was when all hell was let loose. He accused her of infidelity and vowed to confront Ife.

Funke has pleaded with him that it meant nothing but Olu is adamant; has contacted Ife and asked for a meeting.

He accused his wife of having an affair with Ife and promised to get to the bottom of it.

Me: Olu may be deluded and to Funke next time do not mention any name.

Dreams are to be taken very seriously and I advise Funke to pray seriously about this dream.

  3. I mean without facts nor physical evidence you accuse your wife of cheating with your friend? Am yet to see how IFE will react when confronted with your allegations based on a dream...hmm!
And for you Funke...Hmm...are you sure you're not the architect of your dreams and not nursing some unusual thing for IFE? AS TERRIBLE AS THE MIND IS...YOU ARE STILL IN CHARGE!

  4. It's nothing. The only problem is the way her husband is handling it. Because confronting I've is wrong. He's not even supposed to know about the dream. Now he's accusing them of what they've not done...so they'll just go ahead and do it.

  5. Well done Funke! Mcheew! Maybe you should put your self in your husband’s position. “Olu:Hello honey I dreamt that I was doing your best friend”

  6. Very silly bugger, the husband. A dream ain't nothing but a dream. If she had dreamt that her husband bought her a Porsche, would he have gone out and got her one? Is he an adult? Does he have common sense? Can he control his own dreams? What's in the water these people drink?

I have heard some say dreams are a figment of a persons imagination.
But my hand is not there...

  8. She should just stop imagining how Olu will be on bed for dreams are what the mind nurses. She has feelings for him.again the husband is not handling The whole thing well. He should be calm and start performing his duties well if not he will push the two together and the dream will become real.
She can never deny not having fantasies about Olu and the husbands present actions should tell her what to expect If the dream comes true. God is just warning her

  9. For the fact that it was Funke who dreamt and shared it with the husband just the way it happened, you don't have to blame Olu. He may see it from a human angle as as something that may transpire ormight have transpired into the physical sometime some day. He is just being jealous
