Eh yah!

Pregnancy was always easy peasy for me. I was always just the same from day one till the last day.

First baby came out at 4.25kg and I did quite well during labour as a first timer. The next two were even easier till the very last. Hmm..Story for another day.

It's often said that no two pregnancies are the same but in my case all were the same.

It was always an opportunity to eat just as much as I wanted without explanations. No vomiting or even spitting and everything felt just the same way to me.

I remember dancing so much at a party that a stranger walked up to me and touched my tummy. She wanted to be sure that I was truly pregnant.

At that time I was over seven months gone so she found it hard to believe that a pregnant woman could dance for such a long time and also really well. *wink*

I never paid much attention to women who had gone through miscarriages and all sorts. The best I did when I heard such stories was to say "eh yah".

"Sometimes the only way to understand someone else's plight is to go through the same experience" ~ my quote ~

After four children including a multiple birth I was done with child bearing and about to start face other things in life. The twins were five years old then and I suddenly realised that I had over engaged in the moonlight dance.

After breaking what should have been good news to him who beat the drum to which I danced to, the next thing was to decide on what to do. Not like we had other options but we both had to come to terms with the possibility of having another mouth to feed.

We started making plans but four months into the pregnancy I could no longer feel the butterfly flutters in my tummy.

I complained to my doctor at that time who after checking me out told me that my opinion on the way I felt did not matter. He insisted that I was fine and asked me to see him in three weeks.

To be continued ......
