His Wrong Decision

I really do not know what to say about this story. The man in question did the wrong thing with a good intention then found himself in a situation where his wrong decision saved him.

A reader asked me to share the story of Dibe who made his girlfriend in the University have an abortion. The abortion went wrong and Tiwa his girlfriend nearly lost her life. 

After she spent a month in the hospital she was told by the doctors that she may never be able to conceive.

Dibe married Tiwa after school just to prove his love for her but he even went a step further by undergoing an irreversible vasectomy.

The reason behind this was to show Tiwa that he stood in solidarity with her and would never father another child by another woman.

They adopted a child in the second year of their marriage, shutting out the world, they channelled all their energy into raising their son and providing everything good for him.

After a decade of enjoying a peaceful home, trouble reared its ugly head: an unidentified woman sent a message to Tiwa's phone and told her that she was pregnant for her husband. 

They both knew that it wasn't possible. 

Tiwa insisted on speaking to the young lady who kept pestering her to ask her husband to own up to being responsible for the pregnancy.

It turned out the lady in question actually had an affair with Dibe. They dated on and off for exactly one year and it was Dibe who called off the illicit affair when he realised that it was getting serious. 

The lady wouldn't have any of it and tried to destroy his home. Dibe and Tiwa met Dela in a restaurant and revealed to her that Dibe could not father a child.

Dela could not hide the look of shock on her face on realising that she had been found out to be a cheap woman out to destroy a happy home. They both stood as a team and fought the intruder. 

Things were not that simple at home. First of all, it was established that Dibe cheated and Tiwa wouldn't speak to him for a long time. He equally exposed his family by exposing his wife to a stranger. Dibe told Dela that Tiwa couldn't get pregnant which made her try to have a child for him.

Some men sometimes lose their minds over a few good rounds of the moon dance. Then they reveal family secrets and promise everything on earth even marriage.

How convenient to tell his wife's secret but not his. Anyway, I'm confused about this story. Dibe is a man with good intentions but at the same time acted very poorly in the circumstances that he was faced with, to put it mildly.

Tiwa has forgiven Dibe but is still traumatised by the whole experience though she accepts that she was happy that Dibe took that decision to have a vasectomy. She wouldn't bear to see him father a child by his mistress.
