An Angel like Celine

Celine’s story inspired me lately. She is one lady I always admired because she always had it all figured out. I would sometimes consult her when faced with very difficult issues from people.

Celine is a power dresser in a very subtle way, she is a good example of less is more; she wears very little make up and is very soft spoken. Her children are so well behaved and when you spend a few hours with her you will know that she has it all put together. She is warm and very tolerant that it sometimes looks unreal.

Recently we got into a conversation and Celine opened up to me in order to drive home a point; a lady wanted counsel after she discovered that her husband fathered another woman’s child. The lady in question moved out of her home into another apartment with her children.

She has a good job and is able to provide for herself and her children; her husband wants her back and has been begging and sending anyone and everyone to ask her to come home. The lady believes that her husband only wants her back so she can keep providing for him. I asked her to forgive but was not quick to ask her to move back with him and that was when Celine shared her own story. 

She was already a working class lady when she met and married her husband Fred; they courted for one year before they got married in a quiet ceremony. She was not exactly a spring chicken yet it took another five years before she had her first child and then a year later was blessed with a set of twins. Shortly after her twins, she adopted a girl from a poor family who became her fist child. 

It was during this conversation that she told me that her adopted child was her husband’s first child; while Celine prayed for a child; her dear husband took matters into his own hands and made a baby for himself. The secret blew open when he lost his job and could no longer take care of his love child; his baby mama who was the daughter of a roadside vegetable seller spilled the beans to Celine who immediately took in the child as her own.

She went on to say that her husband had been without a job for seven and she had taken care of every single responsibility. Never in my life have I seen a woman carry such burden with so much grace. 

She has never given anyone any reason to think that her husband was not the breadwinner of his home. He commands so much respect and has the demeanour of a wealthy man. He also looks like a man who is in full control of every affair in his home. Celine consults him on all issues and his word is law; it is obvious that he adores and worships his wife and now the reason is very clear.

Only the devil will not adore and worship an angel like Celine.
