Ijeze was very open to Nike, he was in an unhappy marriage; at first, Nike thought that he was just being a typical lying man; unhappy marriage is always a reason to stray but she eventually started to believe him. He moved out of his home in Ikoyi and bought a small flat in Lekki, the first time Nike visited him there, she did not have to be convinced that no woman had ever been there.

The gas cooker was as new as ever, it still had some plastic wrap around it, the two extra bedrooms had beds with mattresses still wrapped in plastic. His bedroom had the strongest smell of very expensive male cologne and his bed was neatly done and everything well arranged. The room was simply decorated in silver and black details and had a very romantic touch. As soon as Nike walked into the room, she felt like a woman again; all she wanted was to be touched, kissed, and cuddled.

They walked back into the living room and as soon as they sat down, Nike asked Ijeze why he moved out of his home. Ijeze was silent for a long while which made Nike very uncomfortable; she could see that he was struggling with his emotions but just as she was going to ask him not to bother explaining, he took a deep breath, coughed mildly, and began to tell her his story.

His wife Ada was his childhood sweetheart: they grew up in the same neighborhood in Jos and attended the same primary school, they attended different secondary schools but reunited at the University of Jos where they both studied Architecture and dated all through. Their families relocated to Lagos when the security situation got worse in Jos and two years after school, they got married in Lagos. Ada was very supportive of Ijeze and they both worked tirelessly to build a successful business in Architecture.

Ijeze told Nike that for as long as he was with Ada right from their dating days in school, he remained faithful and so was heartbroken when he discovered that Ada cheated on him. He stumbled on her email one fateful day and his life changed forever. She was working on her laptop and suddenly had to use the restroom; she called from in there and asked Ijeze to bring her phone to her and as his eyes looked at the screen of her laptop, the first word he saw in an email was regret and he got curious so he began to read the trail.

Ada was telling a guy that she regretted having sex with him; in the mail, she told the guy that her husband was a good man and deserved to be treated with respect. This was after the man had written that she was the sweetest woman he had ever been with and did not think that Ijeze deserved Ada since he was not so adventurous in the bedroom. As Ijeze narrated to Nike the rest of the mail trail, he broke down in tears, he said his fellow man spoke about him so condescendingly because his wife had exposed him.

Nike was also in tears as she watched him cry and all she could say was 'but do you have issues?" As soon as those words came out, she hated that she did not have anything better to say, so she just moved closer to him and held him close to her allowing him to place his head on chest. The next time she spoke, she said to him, "Do you want to make love?" Ijeze just looked up at her and did not say a word., Nike gently took off his t-shirt, pushed him back a bit, unzipped his jeans, and pulled them off. She was happy to see him responding to her gesture from the movement in his boxers.

She led the way to his bedroom and then unbuttoned the black shirt dress that she wore, when the dress fell to the floor, she was left with her lacy black bra and panties and as she tried to unhook her bra, Ijeze began to plead with her not to do it, he quickly grabbed her and pushed her to the bed and shifting her underwear to the side, he made one thrust and a gave a loud roar,

Nike was speechless, she was not even anywhere near starting the process and while a lot of things went through her mind, Ijeze told her it was okay if she wouldn't see him again romantically but asked her to still be friends with him.
